Since many years you are standing or rather you are sitting on stage. You are a fantastic drummer. You toured with SLADE together around the whole world and you gave so much pleasure for many people and I really hope,  that this will be still so for a long time. As a concert-fotografer I toure also much around, not worldwide,  only in Germany, but nevertheless, I get a lot of informations. Since many years, it doesn`t matter, where I`m and we are talking about SLADE, then I can hear from many people, what for a very symphatic

and lovable people you are. This is something so wonderful and this is`nt so at always and obvious, just in this business.

Keep so a very native, friendly and polite personality.

We played a gig a couple of weeks ago and an American chap

came and spoke to us at the end of the set,he didn't realise how many great songs Slade had made.

He apparently popped out the next day and bought the greatest hits.

I know this as my sons girlfriend had her car test a couple of days ago and the examiner recognised her from the

gig all he could talk about throughout the test was Slade.

My sons girlfriend passed her test first time.

Since my childhood I`m listening the music of SLADE. You are always insignificant in the band, even thought you have with your drumms very formed the sound.

In 1995 we celebrated together with SWEET Sylvester at Hamburg and also after so long time is this day in a very good memory for me. What was very impressed for me about you on this evening, was your big modesty charisma.

I met already a lot of musicans, but for you it`s really the importants your job, you was there always for the fans.

This is not always so. Your job on the drums is sure other as only play drums, it`s easy but effective with a high

importance on recognize. Was it by Status Quo the sound of the three fingering, so is it in SLADE your kind

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DON !

Few time ago I recorded an interview with Don and I noticed very quick, what for a native people he is.

With his professionality he was at home on the big stages of this world and he can look back to a great career.

This had not every drummer. We can`t compare Don with drummers of the today`s bands.Very often we will find computer or so-called "drum-machines". Don Powell is already today a legend. Don, you gave us with SLADE and the music of this band so much pleasure.

I was this year to 40 Sladeconvention in Bilston - where you saw before 60 years the light of
the world. A long time.

But if I see you on the stage, is the time stand remained. So hard no Drummer works.  1963 with "Johnny Travelle and The Vendors" began everything.

Since then you prepared up to the today's day much joy for many humans in the whole world. I hope it continue still for a long time!
