The show will be hosted by Noddy Holder & Lynsey de Paul, featuring T.Rex producer Tony Visconti, T.Rex fans Marc Almond and Boy George, John's Children band-mate Andy Ellison, T.Rex saxophonist Howie Casey, glam-rock contemporaries Alvin Stardust and Steve Harley, Level 42 Mike Lindup, Sex Pistol Glen Matlock, Linda Lewis plus many more to be announced.

"Old" Slade played their third and last Finland gig at Kuus-rock festival in Oulu in August 1982. "New" Slade played 30 years later near Oulu in Tornio at Twin City Festival

In 2012 Dave and Don have been on the road with the new Slade for 20 years. As a matter of fact a longer time as with the "old" Slade; first gig in April 1966, the last one in March 1984.

Slade will be back in Kristiansand on 19th October 2012 plying at Dark Season festival.

Lipsaset is a party band from Finland, who were playing along Slade at Twin City festival in Tornio, Finland 21.7.2012. They had there great time for hours in the backstage room with Slade:
"Heinäkuun herkullisinta antia oli vierailu Tornion TwinCity-festivaaleille. Tapahtuma oli hienosti järjestetty ja yleisö antoi meille mukavasti tukea, vaikka seikkailimme GHA:n armailla kotiseuduilla heti heidän esiintymistään seuraavana päivänä. Kiitos siitä. Hauska päätös illalle oli moni tuntinen hupailutuokio yhteisessä takahuoneessa Slade-orkesterin mainioiden seuramiesten kera. Me klopit opimme monta seikkaa ja mitähän heille jäi saldoksi? Pääkipu, uusi taito juoda suuria määriä lonkeroa ja ilmiömäinen kyky laskea neljään SUOMEKSI! Kyllä opetusalan ammattilaiset osaavat vapaallakin... Noddy Holder to host quiz testing business brains at ICC

NODDY Holder will be quiz master and host for the eleventh annual Birmingham Brain Game to raise money for Marie Curie’s Big Build Appeal to create a new hospice for the West Midlands.
Fifty-two teams from local businesses have now entered the event, taking place at the International Convention Centre on November 1. There are still a small number of tables available, starting at £1,200 upwards.

Brain Game organiser Susan White said: “We are thrilled Noddy has agreed to host our event, which is always a hugely popular and successful evening and last year raised over £120,000 for our local Big Build Appeal to build a new Marie Curie Hospice for the West Midlands.”

Skupina Slade vznikla na jaře 1966 ve Wolverhamptonu pod názvem The N’Betweens. Po nahrávce You Better Run ze srpna téhož roku, se čtveřice v roce 1969 přestěhovala do Londýna a přijala nový název Ambrose Slade. Na počátku sedmdesátých let si čtyřka zkrátila název na Slade a natočila singl Wild Winds are Blowing jenž následovalo debutové album Play it Loud. Po té si kapela nechala si narůst delší vlasy a vybírala si pestré, později blyštivé oblečení. Součástí »drsných hochů z pracující vrstvy« byla i úmyslně nesprávná angličtina promítající se do titulů písní. Hudba kapely se vyznačovala hlasitou kytarou a podupávajícím rytmem podle kterého někteří kritici označovali Slade za fotbalovou skupinu.
Roku 1971 již kvartet začal pronikat do ostrovního singlového žebříčku. Po překopávce hitu od Little Richarda Get Down and Get With It kapela v listopadu vydala sarkastický song Coz I Love You, který vyskočil až na první pozici britské hitparády. Dvojice Holder / Lea se od té doby osvědčila jako výborný textařsko – skladatelský tandem. Ostatně, ve své zlaté éře 1971 – 1974 dosáhl proletářský soubor šestkrát na první místo britské hitparády. Kromě zmíněné Coz I Love You se na prvních britských příčkách ocitly hity Take Me Bak ‘Ome (1972), Mama Weer All Crazee Now (1972), Cum On Feel the Noise (1973), Squeeze Me Pleeze Me (1973) a Merry Chrismas Everybody (1973). V květnu 1972 se kapela Slade poprvé vydala na rozsáhlejší turné jako support Status Quo.
V prosinci 1973 Slade vydali vánoční singl Merry Chrismas Everybody, který nahráli o rok dříve v New Yorku během turné. Tato píseň od té doby patřila k nejúspěšnějším singlům kapely a opakovaně se v čase vánočním vracela do hitparád. V roce 1974 kapela dokončila svůj film Flame z něhož vzešel singlový hit Far Far Away. Slade se za velkou louží dočkali dalšího úspěchu díky americké heavymetalové formaci Quiet Riot, která roku 1983 slavila velký úspěch s napodobeninou o deset let mladšího hitu od Slade Cum On Feel the Noise. Roku 1983 Slade vydali album The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome, které bylo s mírně pozměněným obsahem vydáno i v USA pod názvem Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply. Z této desky vznikl americký nejúspěšnější singl Run Run Away. V roce 1995 Slade vydali studiové album Keep on Rockin’! Jako speciální hosté se na turné Slade po České republice představí čím dál více populární česká rocková formace Blue Rocket, která více jak šest let s úspěchem pravidelně vystupuje po celé naší republice."

"Miniturné po Česku si střihne britská rocková legenda Slade. Zahraje ve středu 24. října v Beznu, o den později ve Velkém Meziříčí a šňůru uzavře v sobotu 27. října v Krnově.
Slade jsou v ČR dlouhodobě ve velké oblibě. Jejich hity ze 70. let (Far Far Away, My Oh My, Run Runaway, Cum On Feel The Noize, Wild Winds Are Blowing nebo Coz I Love You) dodnes hrají české rozhlasové stanice a obejde se bez nich jen málokterá taneční zábava.

The £1,800 raised will be distributed to local good causes later this year.
Paul Wickes, leader of the band, said: "This event is by the community, for the community, and just shows what can be achieved when the whole community pulls together."

Noddy Holder's top tips on how to grow Bradley Wiggins whiskers

Slade star Noddy Holder says he’s more than happy to pass the baton of owning Britain’s most famous sideburns to cycling hero Bradley Wiggins.
Bradley yesterday name-checked Noddy as he won his record-breaking Olympic medal saying: “I saw all the people wearing sideburns along the route and it was mad.
“I don’t think they have been this popular since Noddy Holder”. It led to Cheshire-based Noddy trending on Twitter – and the famously hirsute rocker tells us he’s been besieged by texts ever since.
Noddy says: “I think it’s really funny.
“He’s a good-looking chap so it’s great if people think we look alike – in fact he could be my love child!
“One of many I may have had years ago!”

And while Noddy is impressed with Wiggo’s sideys, he reckon there’s still some way to go for him to emulate full-on Holder hair.
Noddy says: “His sideburns are good but they’re not as big as mine were in the Seventies, but I’m sure as he gets older his will get bigger.
“Bradley’s look, with his cropped hair, is a bit like my look in the late Sixties, so maybe I’ve started a trend.
“His achievement is brilliant – he’s done amazingly well and it’s fantastic that he’s now our greatest Olympic medal-winner.”
Noddy admits he only started growing his sideburns back in the Sixties because he was ‘lazy’.
He chuckles: “I like the look and I was quite lazy really and didn’t want to shave every day. And no one else really had them at the time.”
Noddy's top tips for impressive sideburns
Start with the beard; grow that really long and big and bushy, then shave the front and trim the side into shape
Get a good pair of clippers; you can get some good ones now.
In my day we didn't have conditioner, but I think you could use that now
Use gel to create some shapes and patterns
Think of it as creating a nice privet hedge and you can't go wrong"
