Local children's charity, The Children's Adventure Farm Trust, has announced that Slade legend Noddy Holder and his wife Suzan have joined them as a Patrons.
Noddy and Suzan join an esteemed list of Patrons including Jason Manford, Freddie Flintoff, Lee Boardman and Paralympian Sarah Storey, as well as President Sir Bobby Charlton.
Noddy Holder MBE was lead vocalist with the 70's rock band Slade, which had a No.1 with Merry Xmas Everybody which remains a seasonal favourite to this day. He now has a busy TV and Radio career, with regular slots on BBC Radio 2 and was recently the crowned King of the Sizzle as he fronted British Sausage Week!
TV producer and presenter Suzan joins Noddy as Patron of the charity, both have been heavily involved with the charity for a couple of years, starting when Noddy stepped in as Santa at one of the charity's Christmas parties for disadvantaged children in 2010. They have since attended events and are planning even more support for the charity in the near future.
The Adventure Farm provides holidays, respite and daytrips for terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West.
Noddy and Suzan comment: ""We are both very proud to be of help to CAFT in any way we can. The work they do not only enhances children's lives but also the families, staff and helpers. The kids' smiles say it all."
